IE 10 Exploit - Workaround Identified
There is a new zero-day exploit affecting fully patched versions of the Internet Explorer 10 web browser. The attacks also work on IE 9. This latest attack has been labeled "Operation SnowMan" and was originally found targeting the Veterans of Foreign Wars website. In the Ars Technica article "New zero-day bug in IE 10 exploited in active malware attack, MS warns" Microsoft is said to be aware of this issue, and the article recommends for the time being (until the exploit is patched) that people avoid using IE 10 or 9.
