A Day Late
We didn't post a link to this story the day that it happened because, well, we didn't know about. It seems not even WorldCom's UUnet customers knew their Internet connectivity would be coming down for 9 hours last Thursday. UUnet's outage also affected AT&T and Sprint customers. It appears a "software upgrade" was the root of the problem, though we have yet to hear what that software upgrade was or what necessitated it.
