How do I add a backup Email Address to use the Forgot my Password feature

SmarterMail has a password reset option available now for email accounts which have configured a backup email address. In order to use the "Forgot your Password" feature you must log into your SmarterMail account and add a Backup Email Address. Follow along this FAQ to configure a Backup Email Address:

To set a Backup Email Address

  1. Log into Web mail.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Click Account Settings in the navigation pane.
  4. Click the User tab.
  5. In the Backup Email Address field, enter the email address you wish to use as a backup in case your forget your password.
  6. Click Save.

After you have set a Backup Email Address you are able to use the "Forgot your Password" link, which appears on the SmarterMail login screen:
