Superstorm Sandy Telco and Cable Costs
In addition to the horrific damage done to homes, entire neighborhoods and loss of lives, the recent Superstorm Sandy is estimated to cost telco and cable companies hundreds of millions of dollars in clean-up and repair. According to a recent Reuters article, "Sandy repair costs could run $550-600 million" for the telco and cable companies. Companies included in this estimate are Verizon Communications, Cablevision Systems Corp, Time Warner Cable, AT&T and Sprint Nextel.
